We're in the Tarragona province which has amazing wines and vinegar. We were able to try some at the hotel and if we had more time and foresight, we should have done a wine and vinegar tasting tour here. Not to worry, we're doing a trip to Monserrat and will also have a wine and tapas tour later in the week. Amanda has tried the local cava (Spanish sparkling wine). We're finally used to making sure that we order the large bottle water as it's been nice and steamy every day.
The past few days have had lots of basking in the sunshine, swimming in the Mediterranean and pool, and just general relaxing. We've stuffed ourselves on Iberian ham, hake (Madelyn and Amanda), pasta (Cameron and the girls) and sweet treats. Madelyn has had at least one donut every morning for breakfast. She's taken full advantage of the buffet and her parents being preoccupied with drinking Cafe con Leche. Update, we did fine chicken fingers, but shockingly no one ordered them and instead they both ordered penne with tomato sauce with parmesean cheese.
The weather forecast for the coming week in Barcelona isn't looking the greatest. We're trying to rearrange things a bit so we can do the beautiful outdoor things on the days it's nice when Cam isn't at his conference. Worst case, we will just grab some rain coats, because I forgot to pack them. Whoops.
